About This Event

Led by the North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance (NAILSMA), the second iteration of the Reimagining Conservation Forum was held at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park on Djabugay Country.

The forum brought together Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples to talk about how we can reimagine managing land and sea Country together, providing delegates with an opportunity to be part of the vital conversation around Indigenous-directed actions and outcomes in the conservation sector.

Indigenous delegates were invited to join the forum from Monday 19 August for an Indigenous only workshop, providing a space for open and safe discussion about aspirations, common themes and challenges within the conservation sector. This session helped to ensure that Indigenous voices and perspectives were amplified throughout the remainder of the forum from 20—22 August which was open to all delegates.
